OUR MOONHOUSE

Nestled within the tranquil landscape of the Cyclades, Moonhouse stands as a testament to our deep appreciation for natural beauty and the power of simplicity. These villas seamlessly blend modern design with the organic elements of the island’s terrain.

     Luxurious bedrooms in the main house serve as havens of comfort and style. Every detail, from the high-quality furnishings to the calming color palettes, contributes to an atmosphere of refined elegance throughout the property. On clear days, the islands of Mykonos, Delos, Riniea, Tinos, and Naxos are visible from the property.  Outside, we will enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and sea views from the terrace or the lower saltwater swimming pool.  

This retreat will be an interweaving of Kundalini Yoga and Breathwork guided by Akal Anand, rituals and practices guided by Adrienne. Rituals of tending to the body and opening to mystery and magic under the light of the moon.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Our schedule embraces simplicity, inviting spontaneity, freedom, and a natural flow. Choose your own pace and allow yourself to absorb more.

     Each day includes two main sessions: one Kundalini Yoga practice with Akal Anand and one Earth connection/exploration and Plant Spirit Ritual with Adrienne. & beautiful invitations in between.

     The rest of the time is devoted to exploring the island and its abundant beauty, deepening connections with one another, and integrating our shared work.

CO-CREATIVE

  • Adrienne is a medicine woman, a messenger of the Earth, an herbalist, a guide, and a teacher. She loves nothing more than communing with the Earth + the elements and sharing their profound wisdom + gifts. Adrienne is trained in the Wise Woman Tradition of Healing, Sacred Plant Medicine, Holistic Healing, and Traditional Herbalism. Her path of study is one that explores the connection of the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual aspects of wellness in both linear + non-linear realms.

  • Akal Anand is a cosmic alchemist, a palm tree of dates in an oasis, walking barefoot on desert earth. Her service to the earth is to truth and bliss, honoring the awakening into our deathless nature through human form. With Kundalini Yoga and Breathwork as mediums, she shares her practice from a place of personal experience, simple and precious. Her engagement is with presence and elevating through heart to heart connection, fun and care.

Christiane Smit is more than just a talented ceramic artist; she is a traveler of life, a seeker of truth, and a creator who molds her experiences into timeless pieces of art. Christiane channels her life experiences and spiritual beliefs into her work with clay. She believes deeply in the power of going with the flow, allowing life’s events to guide her rather than resisting them. This philosophy is evident in her artistic process, where she creates from a place of inner stillness, letting her intuition and connection to the earth lead her hands.

     Christiane’s art is more than just objects; it is a reflection of her journey, a tangible manifestation of her spiritual and creative explorations. For her, each piece is a dialogue with nature, a conversation with the earth, and a testament to the beauty of living in harmony with one’s surroundings.

     Whether you encounter her pieces in a gallery, a quiet room, or even at Moonhouse itself, they are sure to leave an indelible mark—just as Christiane herself does on everyone she meets.

*Early Bird price until April 26th. Your retreat space is secured with a deposit of €550. This amount will be deducted from your total balance, which is payable via bank transfer by May 15th. Included in your registration cost are standard retreat offerings, accommodations at Moonhouse amenities— including the pool, and gardens. Enjoy three nourishing meals daily, crafted with high quality, locally sourced ingredients.

  • Upon signing up, you will receive an email with guidance on how to prepare for our time together and most important tips.

    Think practical: comfortable clothes for yoga (white or light fabrics), a light shawl, sunscreen, sandals, a swimsuit, sarong, sunglasses, a water bottle, your favorite beauty oils, any supplements, sacred objects, a journal for self reflection.

  • Paros, one of the larger and most authentic islands in the Cyclades, is nestled in the heart of the Aegean Sea. To reach this stunning destination, you have several options:

    By Air:

    Fly into Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) or another major Greek airport. From Athens, a domestic flight to Paros Airport (PAS) takes just 40-45 minutes. Additionally, there are occasional flights from other European cities directly to Paros, making it accessible from various destinations.

    By Ferry:

    If you're already in Athens or another nearby island, ferries offer a scenic and popular route to Paros.

    From Athens (Piraeus Port): Depart from Piraeus Port, Athens' main port, to Paros Port in Parikia. The ferry ride usually takes 3 to 4 hours, depending on the type of ferry you choose.

    From Other Islands: There are frequent ferry connections from nearby islands such as Mykonos, Naxos, Santorini, and others in the Cyclades. These trips typically take 1 to 2 hours, depending on the distance.

    Please plan to arrive at Moonhouse on Sunday July 6th between 2-3pm. Depart on Thursday July 10th at 12pm.

  • We are a small, independent retreat business, and every booking is significant to us. In case of a cancellation, the deposit is Non-Refundable. Within 90 days or less, 30% of the Full Price will be refunded. Between 60 and 40 days prior, 15% of the Full Price will be refunded. After 40 days, the Full Price of the retreat is Non-Refundable.

  • In the first week of July, Paros experiences hot, sunny weather with temperatures ranging from 28°C to 33°C (82°F to 91°F) during the day and cooler evenings around 20°C to 24°C (68°F to 75°F). There’s plenty of sunshine, little to no rain, and occasional relief from the heat due to the Meltemi wind. For wardrobe, think loose and flowy fabrics.
